My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Michael to buy our new home. Choosing Michael as our Realtor was one of the best decisions we made. He is professional, not pushy, is easy (and fun) to work with and he really understands the market. He was very patient and always took the time to explain everything to us and answer any questions. While we were in the process of looking for homes, we never felt pressured. In fact, Michael would point out things about a home that we would never have noticed and recommend holding out for something better. That's not something you find often, as Realtors are usually interested in closing the deal and moving on. We never felt that way with Michael. We always felt that he gave us honest advice and that we could trust him. And now we have found our dream home and we couldn't be happier! During the process of closing on our new home, Michael recommended a home inspector for us to use. When we later met with the home builder, we were told that he was the most thorough inspector he had ever worked with and that our Realtor must really be looking out for us to have recommended him.
Michael is genuine and hardworking and will always be on your side supporting you and looking out for what's best for you. While dealing with the issues that our home inspector found, Michael addressed the issues quickly on our behalf and worked diligently to make sure they were resolved as quickly as possible. He was on top of everything and always kept us informed and educated. Michael is hands down the best Realtor and we would recommend him to anyone looking to buy (or sell) their home!

"Michael Chaisson is everything one could ask for in a realtor and more. I initially met Michael in November 2013 when one of my friends was closing on his house. Prior to meeting him, my friend told me that I should consider him when I start looking for houses. He spent a lot of time with them and was patient. When I met him, he said "when you are ready, we can go out and just have some fun" looking at houses. A few months later, my wife and I were ready to look at houses so we called him up and started on our journey in August 2013. He took us to every area we had in focus.. My wife and I, both doctors have busy schedules that often conflict, which sometimes made it difficult to arrange for meetings. Michael made it work. He took us to see an endless number of houses. In the beginning we were not very vocal about what we liked and did not like, but as time went on he teased out the things that were really important to us. If we found a house online, he would research it, and give his opinion on whether the house was truly something we would like.
In the beginning we saw many houses regardless of his opinion, but we soon saw that his assessment of a house, and whether we would like it was spot on. This saved us time later on when considering a house. This was our first time looking for houses so there were certain things that we didn’t necessarily think about when looking at a house, such as resale value, whether the yard faced east or west, if the house was next to a road. He educated us on all these details and many more. We spent a lot of time with Michael, and we enjoyed every minute of it. He is very amiable and has a great sense of humor, which made the whole experience more like spending time with a friend. There was a period of time when we started to get a little despondent, and he was very supportive. There were one or two houses that we hesitated on and lost , but he always encouraged us, told us that we would find a better house, and one that was just right for us. He clearly understands the emotional rollercoaster that one goes through when going through the process of buying a house. When he read our frustrations, or even perhaps when we were overzealous, he would help bring us up, or give us perspective, and he did so kindly. He was available at all times. He would call us to see how we were doing even if there were no houses to see. He had a tremendous amount of patience given the fact that it took us almost a year to find our house, and the wait was truly worth it.
The house that we finally bought was one that Michael found for us. The day it came on the market, he told me we had to move quickly, as “it would go soon”. My wife couldn’t make it so I went with Michael, and spent about an hour at the house. We were the first people to look at the house. I told my wife she had to see it, and we went to see it early the next day. By that time another 6 people had seen it, and he was nervous that someone may have already put in an offer as it was a short sale, and the asking price was already great. At this point seeing our enthusiasm, he really encouraged us and we went to his office and wrote up a detailed offer. If Michael had not wisely encouraged us at this point, or allowed us to hesitate, I am certain we would have missed out on an absolutely amazing home. Other buyers tried to make offers in the house in the days that followed, fortunately we had the home in contract.
While Michael was excellent during the period of time that we were looking for a house, he was AMAZING when it came to the closing process, and getting us the best deal possible. The short sale was a long process that took 5 months. We put our offer in August 2014, and finally closed in January 2014. He made sure I was on track to have everything in order so that the closing would occur without a hitch, and certainly during those 5 months it was not smooth sailing as we negotiated with the bank. The bank eventually accepted our offer on December 7th and said we had to close by December 31st, which gave us less than 13 working days(given Christmas vacation) to get our loan in order, the house inspected, and once inspected to get estimates on the possible repairs. Again, without him I do not think we would have accomplished all that we did in those last days of December. He was invaluable! After the inspection of the house he was a tremendous advisor when it came to negotiating some of the repairs that the house needed.
In Summary, Michael Chaisson is a fantastic Realtor, who I have already referred to friends. He goes above and beyond his responsibilities as a Realtor. In the future if we move, he will be the first person I call. If you are in the market for a house, I would urge you to call him. I give him my highest recommendation without reservations. His integrity and desire to truly help his clients is unmatched. I have no doubt he will work his hardest for you, as he did for us.
